John Travolta is one of America’s most famous actors. He comes from a family of entertainers and was so confident and focused right since his early teens, which prompted him to drop out of school and get into Broadway. After this, John Travolta moved to television series, before starting off his amazing run in Hollywood.

John Travolta after having a good start in movies suffered a mid-career crisis. In the 1980s, it looked as if his acting career was on the decline, with fans and critics starting to classify him as a “has been actor”. However, the tenacity and toughness that one generally associates with John Travolta’s on-screen characters was seen in real life too, as he was successfully able to revive his career. He made his comeback with the legendary crime movie ‘Pulp Fiction’, and has not seen a lean patch since.

The versatile John Travolta has also lent his voice to memorable characters in various animated films. John’s most recent performance in ‘From Paris With Love’, where he plays a FBI agent has won him critical acclaim. Unlike most Hollywood actors, John Travolta has enjoyed a very happy and stable marriage. He got married to actor Kelly Preston in 1991 and the couple has had two children. Unfortunately, the Travolta family suffered a tragedy when their elder child succumbed to a seizure on a family vacation. On a happy note however, the couple recently announced that they are expecting their third child.
